Sylvia Kirkwood

I am very interested in being considered for the position of Sector Director with the Real Estate Council of Ontario. I believe I would bring a great deal of knowledge, experience and professionalism to this role. I am currently working as a Broker with Coldwell Banker, Peter Benninger Realty in Port Elgin, Ontario. I have been a registered real estate professional for over 26 years. Most recently, I retired in August of 2024, from the position as Chief Administrative Officer for a rural municipality in Bruce County after 30 years of municipal service. In addition, I held a voluntary position as a member of the Committee of Adjustment for the Town of Halton Hills for eight years. I hold an undergraduate degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Toronto Metropolitan University and will be completing my masters degree in Public Administration from Western University in June, 2025. 

I would be honoured to be considered for this very important role which is crucial to the protection of public interest and upholding professional standards in the real estate industry. Thank you for considering me for this position.
