As Ontario’s regulator of more than 110,000 real estate agents and brokerages (sometimes referred to as registrants), RECO administers the Trust in Real Estate Services Act, 2002 (TRESA) and enhances consumer confidence in the real estate services sector.
RECO is governed by an administrator, Jean Lépine, appointed effective December 1, 2025, by the Honourable Stephen Crawford, Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement pursuant to subsection 5.1(1) of the Safety and Consumer Statutes Administration Act, 1996.
