If you're currently licensed or registered as a real estate salesperson, broker, or agent in another Canadian province or territory and want to continue your real estate career in Ontario, there are educational pathways to support your transition.

Depending on your licensing or registration history and qualifications, you may be eligible for one of two pathways:

  • If you are currently licensed or registered, you may qualify to write the Interprovincial Challenge Examination.
  • If you are not currently licensed or registered, but were within the past five years, you may be eligible to apply for an Education Equivalency Assessment.

These pathways are designed to recognize your existing real estate credentials and determine what—if any—additional education is required for registration with the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO).
