What happens if you do not pay before September 1

Failure to pay your insurance renewal will result in the immediate suspension of your registration, and your Broker of Record will be notified:

  • Trading halts immediately: You cannot legally trade in real estate in Ontario while suspended.
  • Public directory update: Your suspension status will be publicly displayed on RECO’s Registrant Search directory.
  • Coverage lapses: You will have no insurance during a suspension, which is a requirement of your registration.
