On April 9, 2026, RECO hosted its second Collaboration Summit: Advancing Excellence in Real Estate Education & Professional Standards, bringing together over 100 leaders from across the real estate sector.

Participants included representatives from brokerages, industry associations, real estate boards, education providers, and policy and regulatory organizations across Ontario. The summit was structured as facilitated working sessions to gather input and inform the next phase of RECO’s education modernization strategy.

The Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) has released its report from the RECO Collaboration Summit: Advancing Excellence in Real Estate Education & Professional Standards, capturing insights from over 100 leaders across the real estate sector on the future of education and professional standards.

The Collaboration Summit focused on three key areas: aligning education with practice readiness, strengthening assessment confidence to ensure ongoing competence, and enhancing consumer protection in an increasing complex market within a modern, risk-responsive regulatory framework.
