RECO issues public advisory regarding REXIG Realty Investment Group Ltd. and Pawel (Paul) Poliszot

October 30, 2025 – Today, under the authority of the Trust in Real Estate Services Act, 2002 (TRESA), the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) has taken two actions with respect to an Oakville-based brokerage and one of its brokers, who is the brokerage’s director and president.

Protecting consumer deposits

RECO has issued a freeze order, freezing the bank accounts of REXIG Realty Investment Group Ltd. located at 2380 Bristol Circle, Unit 12, Oakville, ON, L6H 6M5. The brokerage presently has 10 agents.

By issuing this freeze order, RECO has taken steps to protect the funds in the brokerage’s bank accounts. When necessary, RECO issues freeze orders against brokerages to prevent funds from being withdrawn from a brokerage’s accounts to protect consumer deposits.

Proposing to revoke registrations in the public interest

RECO has issued a proposal to revoke the registrations of both the brokerage, REXIG Realty Investment Group Ltd., and registrant Pawel (Paul) Poliszot, who is the brokerage’s director and president.

A proposal to revoke registration is issued when the Registrar believes that a brokerage or an agent is not entitled to registration. Information regarding entitlement to registration can be found in Section 10 of TRESA. A proposal to revoke registration can be appealed within 15 days of it being served. If an appeal is not filed, the brokerage’s and/or agent’s registration will be terminated and they will not be able to trade in real estate at that time; if an appeal is filed, the brokerage could continue operating until the tribunal that hears the appeal orders that the brokerage’s registration be terminated or the appeal be withdrawn.

Given the specific circumstances of this matter, RECO has not sought an immediate suspension order. This means the brokerage remains open, and the broker of record will ensure the orderly closure of transactions and the transfer of agents and active listings to other brokerages.
