Three ways RECO is improving registrant communications

When we reached out last year, registrants told us they wanted RECO to produce communications that are easy-to-understand, help them maintain compliance, elevate the level of professionalism in the industry and help showcase their value to their clients.

We’ve taken that feedback to heart with three new initiatives.

Newsletter: This is the first edition of the new For the Record newsletter. From now on, we’ll be issuing a newsletter every month, instead of every quarter. This will allow us to be more responsive to emerging issues in the real estate sector. With more frequent editions, we can also make each newsletter shorter, so that it’s easier for busy brokers and salespeople to get through the content.

Videos: The latest professionalism videos focus on the offer process, and the complaints process. Featuring Chair Jody Lavoie and RECO staff members, they have a fast-paced style that gets straight to the point, in an entertaining way.

Registrant toolkit: When we reached out to registrants, they told us it would be helpful if they could include their own contact information alongside RECO’s consumer content. As a result, we’ll soon be launching the registrant toolkit, an online resource where registrants can download co-brandable brochures that explain everything from the benefits of working with a registered real estate professional, to open house safety tips and the pros and cons of buying first or selling first. We believe these resources will be useful to registrants, as well as their clients.
